Railway RRB Technician Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 6565 Vacancies
The Government of India, Ministry of Railways, Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the short notification (CEN No. 02/2026) for the recruitment of Technicians. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online from 30 June 2026 to 29 July 2026 (11:59 PM). Important Instructions & Application Rules
- Single Application Rule: A candidate can apply to only ONE RRB for a specific Pay Level. If you wish to apply for both Pay Levels (Level 5 and Level 2), you must fill out separate applications for each.
- Aadhaar Verification: Aadhaar verification is strongly recommended. Candidates must ensure that their Name and Date of Birth in the Aadhaar card exactly match the details in their 10th-class certificate.
- Participating RRBs: Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bilaspur, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Prayagraj, Ranchi, Secunderabad, Siliguri, Thiruvananthapuram, etc.
Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Technician Grade-I Signal: Candidates generally require a B.Sc. degree in Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology or a 3-year Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in related engineering streams (Refer to the detailed official CEN for exact criteria).
- Technician Grade-III: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) and possess an ITI certificate in the relevant notified trade from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institute OR hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC).
Age Limit (As on Official Cut-off Date)
- Technician Grade-I Signal: 18 to 33 Years.
- Technician Grade-III: 18 to 30 Years.
- Note: Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) as per Government of India rules.
Selection Process
- Step 1: Computer Based Test (CBT): Objective-type multiple-choice examination.
- Step 2: Document Verification (DV): For candidates who qualify in the CBT.
- Step 3: Medical Examination: Strict medical fitness test (e.g., B-1 standard for Signal posts) before final appointment.
