BSNL JTO (Telecom) Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 100 Vacancies
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has released the official notification for the Direct Recruitment of Junior Telecom Officer (JTO – Telecom) from the open market for the year 2026[cite: 11, 14]. Eligible engineering graduates and postgraduates can apply online from 04 June 2026 to 03 July 2026. Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Engineering Degree: Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electronics, Radio, Computer, Electrical, Information Technology (IT), or Instrumentation.
- Post Graduation: Candidates holding an M.Sc. in Electronics or M.Sc. in Computer Science are also eligible.
- Note: Candidates possessing higher qualifications like M.Tech in the prescribed disciplines are also eligible to apply[cite: 247].
Age Limit (As on 03/07/2026)
- Minimum Age Required: 20 Years.
- Maximum Age Limit: 30 Years.
- Note: Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt rules (3 years for OBC-NCL, 5 years for SC/ST, and up to 10 years for PwBD).
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
- Step 1: Computer Based Test (CBT): An objective type multiple-choice examination of 3 hours duration[cite: 91, 111]. The exam consists of 120 questions for 480 marks.
- Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, and there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
- Sections: The test comprises three sections: Engineering Stream Section-I (50 Qs), Engineering Stream Section-II (50 Qs), and General Ability Test Section-III (20 Qs).
- Step 2: Document Verification: Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks and make it to the merit list will be called for document verification[cite: 99, 127].
