Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme (Jan 2027): Apply Online for 60 Posts

The Indian Navy has released the official notification for the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) for the course commencing in January 2027 at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala. Unmarried male and female candidates who have passed 10+2 with PCM and appeared in JEE (Main) 2026 can apply online from 29 May 2026 to 18 June 2026. *Note: Based on merit and qualification during training at INA, 07 candidates from Mechanical Engg will be streamed to B.Tech in Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding at NCW, Kochi. Candidates have to give their preference of branch during the online application.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Educational Qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent from any recognized Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
  • English Requirement: Must have secured at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
  • JEE Main Requirement: Candidates must have appeared for JEE (Main) – 2026 exam (for B.E/ B. Tech). Call up for the Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued based on the JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2026 published by NTA.

Age Limit

  • Candidates should be born between 02 Jul 2007 and 01 Jan 2010 (both dates inclusive).

Selection Process

  • Step 1: Shortlisting based on JEE Main Rank: Naval Headquarters reserves the right to fix the cut-off for shortlisting applications for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2026.
  • Step 2: SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an SSB interview (scheduled at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam from Sep 2026 onwards).
  • Step 3: Medical Examination: All candidates recommended by SSB are required to undergo a strict medical examination.
  • Step 4: Final Merit List: A common merit list would be prepared based on SSB marks and medical fitness.
