The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification (Examination Notice No.10/2026-NDA-II) for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination-II, 2026. Eligible unmarried male and female candidates can apply online from 20 May 2026 to 09 June 2026. Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • For Army Wing (NDA): Candidates must have passed the 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  • For Air Force & Naval Wings (NDA) and Naval Academy: Candidates must have passed the 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Note: Candidates who are currently appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern are also eligible to apply for this examination. Candidates appearing in the 11th class are NOT eligible.

Age Limit & Marital Status

  • Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must be born not earlier than 01st January 2008 and not later than 01st January 2011.

Selection Process

  • Step 1: Written Examination: The UPSC will conduct an objective-type written examination on 13 September 2026. There will be a penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers.
  • Step 2: SSB Interview: Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for the Intelligence and Personality Test by the Services Selection Board (SSB).
  • Step 3: Document Verification: Submission of original 10th and 12th certificates at the SSB interview or before the prescribed cut-off date.
  • Step 4: Medical Examination: Strict physical and medical fitness test as per the standards of NDA & NA.

Q.1 UPSC NDA 2 form bharne ke liye kya qualification chahiye?

Agar aap Army wing ke liye apply karna chahte hain, toh aapka kisi bhi stream se 12th pass hona zaroori hai. Lekin agar aap Air Force ya Navy wing me jana chahte hain, toh aapka 12th standard mein Physics aur Mathematics (PCM) subject hona lazmi hai. Jo students abhi 12th class mein padh rahe hain (appearing), wo log bhi apply kar sakte hain.

Q.2 NDA/NA form mein apply karne ki age limit kitni rakhi gayi hai?

NDA form ke liye aapki age specifically notification mein di gayi dates ke beech honi chahiye. Is notification ke mutabik, candidate ki date of birth 01 January 2008 aur 01 January 2011 ke beech honi chahiye.

Q.3 Kya NDA exam mein negative marking hoti hai?

Haan, bilkul. UPSC jo NDA ka written exam conduct karwata hai, wo objective type (MCQ) hota hai aur usme har galat jawab par penalty, yani negative marking hoti hai. Isliye sirf wahi sawal attempt karne chahiye jinka jawab aapko theek se pata ho.

Q.4 UPSC NDA 2 ka selection process kaise kaam karta hai?

Selection total do main steps me hota hai. Sabse pehle aapko UPSC ka offline OMR-based written exam pass karna hota hai. Jo candidates written nikal lete hain, unhe 5 din ke Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview ke liye bulaya jata hai. Uske baad final medical checkup hota hai.
